The Infrastructure Solution Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient and reliable operation of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This position requires a strong background in managing and implementing IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, scalability, and reliability. The role requires for a strategic thinker with excellent technical, project management, and communication skills, capable of driving continuous improvement in infrastructure operations.

This position also has response to implement, manage, maintain, monitor network and system, health and troubleshoot the problems.

Category/Area of Responsibility

  1. Responsible for reporting to the IT Director of Infrastructure and Operations and the Head of Department.
  2. Coordinate with the infrastructure team regarding capacity planning to ensure alignment and compatibility of system design for effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate closely with IT Business Units, IT Managed Services, IT Service Desk, IT User Administration, IT Asset & Procurement, and IT Onsite for system service and incident review to provide solutions for improvement.
  4. Oversee the day-to-day operations of client service systems, both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, and develop, improve, and implement new strategies to enhance infrastructure performance and reliability.
  5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for infrastructure-related issues.
  6. Identify areas for infrastructure improvement, propose solutions, and implement process enhancements to optimize infrastructure performance.
  7. Implement, manage, evaluate, and select vendors for infrastructure-related products and services.

Job Specifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. In-depth understanding of Microsoft products, including Windows OS, patching, Intune, Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Active Directory, and experience in cloud-based infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Huawei Cloud is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with the ITIL framework for effective infrastructure management, along with experience in handling monitoring tools, performance optimization, problem management, and incident management processes.
  3. Capable of overseeing infrastructure projects and aligning them with business objectives.
  4. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and skills in negotiating and managing vendor for delivery project outcome.
  5. Flexible in expanding knowledge and assuming responsibilities across internal teams.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience (5-10 years) in infrastructure as a system engineer, with a focus on implementing services in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  3. Good basic network skills in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ICMP, SNMP, SSL, and basic experience with Cisco Network Systems (Switches, WLC, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE), Fortinet, Palo Alto Firewall/VPN, CDN, WAF, IT Capacity Monitoring, etc.
  4. Good basic technical skills in IT systems, including servers, storage, databases, hyper-converged infrastructure, cloud technology, and problem-solving.
  5. Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or CIS is preferred.
  6. Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Huawei Cloud.
  7. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, VMware VCP, or equivalent are a plus.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
