This position reports to the Supplier Engineering organization responsible for PCBA quality.

As a member of the SQE team, this position requires working within a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, including Supply Chain, SQE, Contract

manufacturers, suppliers, Product Engineer and R&D teams. You will keep track of contract manufactures' adherence to the Lumentum quality requirements and collaborate with different teams on the issue resolution.

In This Position You Will

  • Be "boot on the ground" to monitor and collaborate with contract manufacture on PCBA issue, from incoming materials, through PCBA building and customer returns.
  • Drive supplier issue resolution with suppliers, SQE, R&D and contract manufactures
  • Work with Suppliers, Contract manufactures, Supply Chain, SQE, and R&D for DfM of new products;

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of direct industry experience coupled with a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques;
  • Experience in managing supplier quality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • High energy, enthusiastic problem solver with a strong desire to learn new things;
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor package processes is desired
  • Experience in designing electrical circuits is a plus
  • Willing and able to travel 15-20% of the time.
