Job Description

The Associate Vice President - Marketing is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for defining and overseeing the comprehensive marketing strategy and operations of Anantara Vacation Club. This role is focused on driving the marketing activities that generate qualified leads and tour flow to the company's Preview Centres. You will be a strategic leader, accountable for the achievement of marketing goals and budgets, and for ensuring all marketing initiatives are in line with the company's broader business strategy, whilst also being heavily involved in the overall marketing and branding of the business through its evolution and expansion, both in regions as well as product.

This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can innovate and optimize marketing channels, manage a significant budget, and collaborate closely with Preview and Sales Operations, and other cross-functional teams (internal and external) to achieve aggressive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a multi-channel marketing strategy to meet and exceed annual lead generation, tour flow, and financial targets.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the annual marketing budget, ensuring a strong return on investment (ROI) for all campaigns and initiatives.
  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor the performance of all marketing channels, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize results and profitability.
  • Regularly update the Executive Management Team with relevant performance insights, market trends, and strategic recommendations related to marketing operations.
  • Contribute to the development of annual business plans and forecasts for the marketing division, liaising with sales, finance, and hotel divisions as needed.
  • Oversee and enhance the lead and tour generation channels, including digital marketing, GSR, E&P, affiliate partnerships, telemarketing, direct mail, and other strategic alliances.

  • Ensure all marketing collateral, campaigns, and communications maintain brand integrity and adhere to the Anantara Vacation Club brand standards in all marketing communications, social media, partnerships and CRM.

  • Ensure all marketing activities and third-party partnerships comply with relevant policies, statutory requirements, and ethical marketing practices.
  • Monitor and manage the initial stages of the customer journey to ensure a positive and professional guest experience from initial contact through to the presentation at the Preview or Sales Centre.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Act as a key liaison between the Marketing team and the Preview and Sales Operations leadership team, ensuring a seamless and effective process from lead generation to tour execution.
  • Foster strong working relationships with all internal contact groups, including Preview and Sales Operations, Club Operations, Finance, Legal, People & Culture, and Minor Hotels, to ensure marketing efforts are fully integrated with the broader business.
  • Ensure the smooth and effective rollout of key strategic changes, including new products, pricing, and regional marketing focuses.
  • Ensure the continued growth and development of talent and team members in all marketing departments to support effective succession plans.
  • Lead all strategic marketing programs, enhancements and evolution across all marketing departments ensuring alignment to marketing direction and overall company strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead all marketing teams in collaboration with Preview and Sales Operations for all new site openings, including pre-opening market analysis and pre-opening budget and planning, and human resource deployment inclusive of task force and permanent hires.
  • Conduct market research activities in order to keep abreast of changing demographics, emerging trends and issues in order to evaluate marketing and communication activities to proactively adjust as needed, insuring high effectiveness of all marketing activities.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meet all financial targets and efficiencies in terms of revenue, qualified leads, tour generation expenses and profitability for the Marketing Division
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Be an active and contributing member of the Executive Management Team
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of the Business and Financial Plan goals in terms marketing performance
