Role Description

We're seeking a Head of Platform Engineering & BI who can lead with conviction, demand excellence, and drive disciplined execution. This role combines technical depth with leadership toughness — managing both the Platform Engineering and Business Intelligence (BI) teams.

You'll be responsible for scaling our platform for reliability and performance, leading customer-facing BI projects, and cultivating a team culture centered on accountability, transparency, and measurable outcomes.

This role reports directly to the Founder/CEO & CAO and offers a clear CTO-track opportunity for the right performer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Engineering and BI teams — establish goals, enforce accountability, and drive results.
• Strengthen and scale MessageSpring's AWS/Azure-based omnichannel platform for performance, reliability, and security.
• Oversee customer BI projects — manage timelines, deliverables, and ensure actionable insights for SME clients.
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for operational efficiency.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align technology execution with business outcomes.
• Maintain high standards in coding, architecture, documentation, and system observability.
• Build and reinforce a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in senior technical or leadership roles.
• Proven success scaling SaaS or multi-tenant platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong hands-on background in , , Python/FastAPI, or similar stacks.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Azure Data Factory, or Snowflake for BI project delivery.
• Experience managing client-facing BI or analytics projects with strong delivery focus.
• History of driving performance, enforcing standards, and coaching teams.
• Excellent English communication skills; experience with global or U.S. clients preferred.
• Startup mentality — comfortable with intensity, ambiguity, and direct accountability.
