Job Summary:

NIVA is seeking a passionate and engaging Art Teacher who is enthusiastic about guiding students in their creative expression. While the primary focus is on visual arts, a teacher with an appreciation or background in music is highly encouraged to apply, as we value interdisciplinary collaboration that enriches student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with American educational standards.
  • Teach visual arts to students across various grade levels (Elementary to High School, depending on assignment).
  • Encourage creative thinking, artistic skills, and cultural appreciation through a variety of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Integrate elements of music or support music-related events or projects when relevant.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Organize and oversee student art exhibitions and participate in school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other departments (including Music and Performing Arts) for cross-curricular projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school community events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education.
  • Teaching certification/license preferred (U.S. or international certification acceptable).
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
  • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Interest in music; ability to support or collaborate on basic music-integrated lessons or school performances is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (fluency required).
  • Passionate, flexible, and committed to student-centered learning.
