Key Responsibilities: Teaching Assistant
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining a Montessori classroom environment.
  • Support children with daily activities, transitions, and caregiving tasks (feeding, diapering, toilet training).
  • Observe and document children's progress while identifying those needing additional support.
  • Reinforce positive behavior using Montessori's Grace and Courtesy principles.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to execute lesson plans and ensure smooth classroom operations.
  • Assist with parent communication, providing updates on child development.
  • Maintain hygiene and classroom cleanliness, including sanitization of materials.
  • Encourage child independence and self-care skills through practical life activities.
  • Support cultural and creative activities, such as art, music, and movement.
  • Ensure children's safety and wellbeing, responding appropriately to emergencies.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in an educational or childcare setting; Montessori experience is a plus.

  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development.

  • Ability to support Montessori learning principles.
  • Effective behavior management and observation skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Organizational skills to manage classroom materials and cleanliness.
  • Personal Attributes: Patient, nurturing, responsible, and culturally sensitive.

  • Additional Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Able to work on weekends.
  • Physical ability to assist young children and classroom setup.
  • Basic English proficiency.
