The Material Requirements Planner is responsible for the Ordering of RM/PM into the factories. He/she ensures that the production schedule is feasible, and sufficient materials are available in the factory. In case of short-term disturbances, the MRP reacts in close alignment with the Detailed Scheduler and the NIP. He / She represents planning in the BMOS meetings. He/She closely collaborates with the Material Supply Manager to improve overall maturity and reliability of material supply to the factory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures an efficient operational purchasing process to ensure the timely availability of Raw and Pack Materials in in line with the company's guidelines. Responsible for alert monitoring to identify short and midterm supply constraints that might arise. Manage bottleneck situations that arise out of lack of supply.
  • Directs the continuous improvement of the SAP planning system in terms of workflow, efficiency, and accuracy as well as frequently checks the efficiency of the purchasing procedure and develops suggestions for improvement.
  • Correct Operational Sourcing Model (OSM). Contract Planning / Contract Manager pooling aligning with Global Category Manager (GCM)
  • Performs other related tasks assigned by superior on supplier performance or process improvement projects in order to align with KPIs. Regularly engage with major Suppliers in face-to-face meetings at the factory and onsite at Supplier to drive operational KPI such as On-time and Lead-time as well as Safety.
  • Ensures inventory levels are monitored with regards to inventory health as well as adequate inventory levels according to coverage targets. Manages critical stock and coordinates the handling of obsolete materials with Warehouse, Quality Assurance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field focused on Planning and Supply Chain.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Production Planning, or related fields, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in SAP, Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), and Operations Management Planning (OMP) systems.
  • Business level fluency in English (speaking and writing)
  • Experience working in an international company, particularly in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Strong capability to drive long-term improvements in material planning processes and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on building strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data insights to optimize material planning and inventory management.
