RIS seeks an enthusiastic and engaging English Language Development (ELD) teacher for our Middle School program who will lead, inspire, and promote student learning through a collaborative co-teaching model. The applicant should be an experienced, certified teacher currently working at the Middle School level. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable about the WIDA model, language and literacy development in students, subject-area content, best practices in an inquiry-based approach, differentiation, and assessment for student learning. The applicant should have experience with collaborative curriculum designs and be well-versed in unit development using backward planning. The applicant will collaborate regularly with department team members, subject teachers, school leaders, and the Director of Student Support to ensure that instruction meets the needs of each student. The applicant must also have a proven record of success in assisting classroom teachers and other instructional staff to develop strategies, skills, tools, and techniques to effectively teach English Language Learners (ELLs).

Enthusiasm for engaging Middle School learners:
- Experience and certification for teaching at the Middle School level
- Proven track record of success in advancing student proficiency
