Our client is a leading global manufacturer of snacks.

Responsibilities:

  • The Finance and Accounting Manager will report directly to the Expatiate Controller and will be responsible for the following key functions.
  • Responsible to ensure a system of internal controls is maintained so the company assets are adequately safeguarded, and that plant and/or legal entity financial reporting is prepared in compliance with financial policies, and local statutory financial reporting standards.
  • To develop and maintain cross functional relationships with FP&A, Commercial, Operations and other disciplines to aid in the enhanced financial performance of our respective manufacturing plants.
  • Acts as a liaison and trusted business partner to regional and global functions within the company to help drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversees the country accounting functions which includes inventory costing and maintenance, account reconciliations, plant and entity financial reporting and analysis, balance sheet management of inventory related items and statutory filings.
  • Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures and internal controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.
  • Preparation and issue of the monthly management reporting pack.
  • Assisting in the development of monthly management reporting.
  • Monitoring fixed asset and headcount reporting.
  • Lead the accounting department, in order to ensure best practice and compliance with Group accounting and the finance manual.
  • Support local commercial and production management teams.
  • Enforce "best practices" and produce performance metrics.
  • Assist other external parties where necessary (eg Customs, BOI, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting plus CPD certification or international equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience with a full understanding of the month-end closing process and how it relates to other closing activities within manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems or equivalent is preferred.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and internal control principles.
  • Able to use time efficiently and the ability to complete projects consistently and on time.
  • Certified CPD candidates will be at an advantage / firm understanding of basic accounting, financial statements.
  • Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Influencing skills / a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
  • Experience in analyzing business performance within a manufacturing environment.
