Advisory Solutions serves as the Advisory team of Private Banking Asia's (PBA) regional Investments Team, entrusted to manage the Advisory offering for the bank, relationship managers and their clients.

b) The active management of the advisory book's life cycle by Equity, Fixed Income, FX, Structured Product and Managed Investments Specialists

Investment Counselor - description of generalist role:


• This is a client-facing role within Advisory Solutions.


• Investment Counselors partner with Relationship Managers to service clients, who require regular interaction with a seasoned investment specialist.


• Provides timely and unbiased wholistic investment advice on single stocks, bonds, structured products, FX, derivatives, managed investments and private market investments in a scalable manner and in accordance with the house view.


• Regularly monitors client portfolios for performance, risk and opportunities


• As part of the role, Investment Counselor is expected to actively contribute investment ideas to the team as part of "ideas sharing".


• Proactive and self-starter in taking initiative to build and manage own portfolio of tagged accounts


• Occasional travel to meet clients may be required.

Extensive experience

  • A seasoned professional with more than 10 years of experience in the dynamic financial industry, primarily honed within international private banks.

Investment expertise

  • Proven track record in multi-asset investment counselling, leveraging robust analytical skills, deep security, derivative, and structured product, fund and private market product knowledge to deliver sound and insightful advice.
  • Extensive experience in advising clients on navigating the complexities of global capital market securities

Quantitative finance skills

  • Mathematically trained with sound experience in applying quantitative skills to systematically evaluate portfolio risk and to identify optimal product solutions for client-centric recommendations.
  • Communication and language skills
  • Fluent in Thai and English (both written and spoken), enabling seamless communication with diverse clientele and colleagues.

Personal qualities

  • Energetic, hard-working, and self-motivated individual with a collaborative spirit and a dedication to teamwork.
  • Growth mind-set

Qualifications:

  • University degree, coupled with CFA charter designation
  • Proficient in industry-standard tools, including Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
