We are looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer who is more than just a script writer—we need a critical thinker and self-starter to architect our quality assurance ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for defining our automation strategy, ensuring our distributed systems are resilient, and driving a culture of high-quality engineering.

What You Bring: Technical Expertise

Quality & Automation

* Test Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing scalable automated testing frameworks for both APIs and Web/Mobile frontends.

* Language: Expert proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (our core stack) for writing robust, maintainable test scripts.

* Testing Suite: Experience with tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Jest, focusing on E2E, integration, and unit testing.

* TDD/BDD: Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development methodologies.

* Data & Systems: Ability to work with PostgreSQL and Firebase to set up test data and validate database-level state.

* Tooling: Expert knowledge of npm, Git, and managing testing workflows in Jira/Sprints.

The DevOps Plus (Highly Valued)

* Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Serverless environments.

* CI/CD: Ability to integrate automated testing suites directly into deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.).

* Observability: Experience monitoring system health and logs to identify root causes of failures.

* Resourcefulness: Comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment; able to balance thorough testing with the speed-to-market needs of a startup.

* Clear Communication: Ability to articulate technical bugs and quality risks clearly to both developers and product stakeholders.


Your Role

* Architect and maintain a comprehensive automated testing framework from the ground up.

* Collaborate with Full Stack and Mobile teams to integrate quality checks into the earliest stages of development.

* Manage the QA lifecycle within Jira, participating in Sprints to ensure "Definition of Done" is met.

* Act as a gatekeeper for production quality, ensuring every deployment is backed by a resilient automated suite.
