About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Guest Services Agent to join our team at The Yama Hotel Phuket. This full-time role will be based in Phuket and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our valued guests. As a key member of our Reservations team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our hotel operations.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting and assisting guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome
- Efficiently processing guest check-ins and check-outs, managing room assignments and coordinating with other departments
- Handling guest enquiries, requests and complaints professionally and effectively
- Providing accurate information about the hotel's facilities, services and local attractions
- Maintaining accurate guest records and updating reservation systems
- Assisting with various administrative tasks, such as managing guest messages and mail
- Collaborating with the Reservations and Front Office teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle challenging situations with grace and professionalism
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, and the ability to communicate effectively in additional languages would be an advantage
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and guest management software
- A friendly, courteous and helpful demeanour, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
