System Tester

Position Overview

We are seeking an independent and skilled System Tester to join our implementation team for a critical banking web application project. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of a system that integrates with both internal bank systems and external regulatory entities (Bank of Thailand).

Key Responsibilities

Testing Execution

Design and execute comprehensive test cases for web application functionality, including UI, business logic, and database interactions

Perform end-to-end testing of API integrations with internal bank systems and Bank of Thailand regulatory platforms

Conduct functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing

Validate data accuracy and integrity across system interfaces

Test security controls, authentication mechanisms, and authorization workflows

Verify compliance with banking regulations and Bank of Thailand requirements

Test Management

Develop detailed test plans and test strategies independently

Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and defect reports

Identify, document, and track defects through resolution

Perform root cause analysis on issues and collaborate with development team on fixes

Manage test environments and test data setup

Quality Assurance

Review system requirements and technical specifications to ensure testability

Identify potential risks and quality issues early in the development cycle

Provide timely and accurate status reports on testing progress and quality metrics

Ensure all deliverables meet acceptance criteria before deployment

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

years of experience in software testing, preferably in banking or financial systems

Strong understanding of web application architecture and testing methodologies

Hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar

Proficiency in SQL for database validation and test data management

Experience with test management tools (Jira)

Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and JSON/XML data formats

Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

Domain Knowledge

Familiarity with banking systems and workflows is highly preferred

Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in financial services

Experience with external system integrations and third-party APIs
