Casting Engineer

I. Job Responsibilities:
- Process Development: Responsible for the design and optimization of casting processes (including gating and riser systems, molds) for products such as dumbbells and weight plates. Utilize simulation software for analysis to ensure products are defect-free, meet precise weight specifications, and possess excellent appearance.
- Production Support: Develop process documentation, resolve casting technical issues on production lines, and monitor key process parameters in operations such as melting and pouring.
- Quality and Cost: Analyze root causes of casting defects and drive corrective actions. Reduce scrap rates and production costs through process and material optimization.
- Product Development: Participate in new product development, optimize product designs from a process feasibility standpoint, and collaborate with the design department to complete projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Oversee mold technology management and promote innovation and standardization in casting processes.
II. Job Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 2 year of experience in casting processes. Experience in high-volume production of cast iron or cast steel components is preferred.
- Professional Skills: Proficient in sand casting or shell molding processes. Familiar with cast iron/cast steel materials and their melting and treatment procedures. Capable of independently analyzing and resolving common casting defects such as porosity and shrinkage. Proficient in CAD software; knowledge of casting simulation software is preferred.
- General Competencies: Maintain high standards for product appearance, texture, and weight accuracy, with a strong quality and cost-conscious mindset. Able to work effectively on the production floor to solve problems and demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Chinese language skills are preferred.
