Overview:
The Senior Manufacturing Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across production, maintenance, and engineering functions. This position ensures strategic oversight of manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining compliance with corporate standards and local regulations. The role focuses on optimizing plant performance to achieve ambitious business and production goals, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
I. Manufacturing & Production Leadership
- Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement production strategies and schedules to meet sales forecasts, optimize resources, and minimize waste. - Operational Excellence:
Lead daily bottling operations, setting clear targets for OEE, production yield, cycle time reduction, and cost efficiency. - Quality & Safety:
Ensure strict compliance with quality management systems, food safety standards, and international safety regulations. - Inventory Management:
Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain optimal raw material and finished goods inventory while controlling costs. - Team Leadership:
Mentor and develop production teams, fostering engagement, cross-training, and high performance.
II. Maintenance & Engineering Oversight
- Asset Reliability:
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime. - Troubleshooting & Repair:
Oversee complex technical repairs and ensure rapid response to equipment failures. - Capital Projects:
Manage engineering projects, including equipment installations and process upgrades, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. - Utilities & Infrastructure:
Ensure efficient and compliant operation of plant utilities such as water treatment, HVAC, power, and CO₂ systems.
III. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
- Process Optimization:
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and best-in-class operational practices. - Budget Management:
Develop and monitor annual budgets for manufacturing, maintenance, and CAPEX. - Sustainability:
Lead initiatives to reduce energy and water consumption, improve wastewater treatment, and minimize environmental impact.
Required Education & Experience
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical) required; Master's degree or advanced certification is a plus. - Experience:
5–8 years of progressive leadership experience in high-speed FMCG or beverage manufacturing environments. - Management:
Minimum 3–5 years managing both Production/Manufacturing and Maintenance/Engineering teams. - Nationality:
Open only to
Thai
or
Laotian
nationals. - Relocation:
Candidate must be willing to relocate to Laos.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of high-speed bottling technology, process control systems, maintenance strategies (PM, PdM, RCM), and industrial safety standards. - Business Acumen:
Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis, and capital expenditure justification (ROI analysis). - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop large, diverse technical teams. - Problem-Solving:
Exceptional analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with experience in Lean/Six Sigma deployment. - Communication:
Excellent English communication skills; Lao language proficiency is a significant advantage.
