Our client is an international industrial company is seeking a Legal Executive to support its Thailand operations and contribute to regional legal matters across the APAC region. This role will focus on contract management, compliance, insurance oversight, and data protection to ensure sound risk management and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, vendor and customer contracts, and distribution or partnership agreements to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide day-to-day legal advice to business and operational teams on a wide range of issues, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Insurance Oversight: Manage and monitor all local company insurance policies (excluding health), assist with claims handling, and ensure optimal coverage aligned with corporate standards.
  • Compliance & Data Protection: Ensure adherence to local data protection laws and internal compliance frameworks; act as Data Protection Officer if required and coordinate with global or regional legal functions on updates and improvements.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver legal training sessions, create checklists and templates for sales and operations teams, and promote a culture of legal awareness and compliance.
  • Procurement & Tender Support: Support the preparation and legal review of tender documents and procurement contracts for regional projects, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • External Counsel Management: Liaise with external law firms and advisors on complex matters such as labor law, customs, tax, and regulatory filings, ensuring cost-effective and practical legal solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law; postgraduate or business qualifications are an advantage.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial or corporate legal work, ideally within a multinational or regional environment.
  • Solid understanding of contract law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of Thai and English (both written and spoken).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to balance legal risk with business needs.
