Retail Operation Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and passionate Retail Operation Manager to lead our fashion retail stores. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader responsible for maximizing commercial performance, developing high-performing teams, optimizing inventory, and ensuring operational excellence. This role is critical in driving profitability, enhancing the customer experience, and maintaining the premium standards of our brand across all store locations.
Key Responsibilities :
This role oversees four primary areas of the business:
1. Sales & Commercial Performance
- Drive Profitability: Develop and execute strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, KPIs (such as conversion, UPT, and ATV), and profitability goals for all stores.
- Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and address challenges.
- Budget Management: Manage store-level P&L, controlling expenses, payroll, and operational costs within the allocated budget.
- Customer Experience: Champion and enforce exceptional customer service standards, ensuring the team provides a luxury, on-brand experience to every client.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure all stores implement and maintain Visual Merchandising (VM) directives in line with brand guidelines to maximize visual appeal and sales.
2. Staff Management & Team Development
- Leadership & Motivation: Lead, mentor, and inspire store management teams to build a positive, high-energy work environment.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and comprehensive onboarding process for all new store staff and management.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and implement development programs focused on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and manage succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Scheduling: Ensure effective and efficient staff scheduling to optimize store coverage and manage payroll costs.
3. Stock & Inventory Management
- Inventory Accuracy: Oversee all inventory management processes, including receiving, transfers, and regular cycle counts, to ensure high levels of stock accuracy.
- Loss Prevention: Implement and enforce all loss prevention policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
- Stock Optimization: Monitor stock levels, replenishment, and sell-through rates; provide feedback to merchandising teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and product mix.
- Stockroom Standards: Enforce high standards of stockroom organization and efficiency.
4. Shop Operations & Compliance
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all daily store operations (opening, closing, cash handling, POS transactions) are executed flawlessly and efficiently.
- Policy & Procedure: Guarantee all stores are fully compliant with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Store Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and appearance of all stores, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and reflective of the brand's premium image.
- Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the head office and the store teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a multi-store capacity within the fashion, luxury, or apparel industry.
- Leadership: Proven track record of strong leadership, team development, and managing performance.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of retail finance, P&L management, and sales analysis.
- Location: Must be based and domiciled in Singapore.
Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in retail POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
