We're on the hunt for a unique role here at We Are Social Thailand. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity and is a fantastic opportunity for the right Design talent.

In this hybrid role, you'll work remotely supporting the We Are Social design team in Sydney Australia, while working out of — and being physically based in — We Are Social's Bangkok office.

As a Midweight Designer at We Are Social, you'll be bringing to life impeccably-crafted, socially-led creative ideas across multiple platforms for some of the world's biggest brands.

You'll work virtually with the Sydney design team to output brilliant, impactful work at the speed of social.

You're not just a pro with static layouts, but also well-versed in motion design, video editing, and probably even dabble in animation, illustration, or shooting your own stuff with either a phone or camera.

You're a power user of pretty much everything Adobe Suite (like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), but also always keeping up to date with social-first apps such as Capcut and cutting edge developments in new fields like AI.

Naturally, you're across typography, colour theory, grids, and all that. And you're ready to break the mold when necessary and work in various different graphic styles depending on the brand.

You soak up design inspiration like a sponge and are keen to push visuals in new directions and be proactive and flexible in your work approach.

You're ready to do some of the best work of your career, and maybe win some awards.

Being a socially-led agency, you have the ability to be always-on, with a high level of versatility, and you'll be able to flex your skills across multiple projects at a fast pace.

As a remote member of the Sydney team, you'll be able to gather global experience and work on high-profile projects out of Australia, while enjoying all the benefits of working out of the Bangkok Office. You'll be working local (Thailand) hours (GMT +7). You'll be bilingual, with the ability to write and converse in both English and Thai.

Please note: From the outset, this role will be a freelance position, with the potential to move into a permanent role after an initial three month period.

Responsibilities
As a Designer you'll be expected to:

• Conceptualise and visualize content for social media as well other channels
• Have an excellent knowledge of industry trends, campaigns and platform requirements
• Challenge yourself and those around you to consistently improve
• Ensure the level of design that comes out of the agency is of a high visual standard and crafted to meet the rapidly-changing requirements of the various social platforms
• Have a keen eye for detail and be able to maintain quality control of own work
• Work efficiently on a number of different clients within the working day, meeting deadlines and making sure projects are completed both on time and on budget
• Self initiate ideas and proactively contribute to briefs
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in both English and Thai
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues at all levels

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years experience in a digital, creative or social agency
• Proficiency in design for digital and, in particular, social media platforms
• A degree level education in graphic, digital or interactive design,
• fine arts, illustration and/or other related design discipline
• Excellent knowledge of industry standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Motion design and video editing skills
• Ability to take direction and execute/create to a high standard under pressure
• Fluent in Thai and English
