Assistant Finance Manager

Job Overview:
The Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager plays a key role in safeguarding the organization's financial health and supporting sustainable business growth. This position is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and treasury management, risk management, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The role also provides strategic financial insights to senior management and works closely with financial institutions to optimize funding structures and liquidity management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyze financial performance, trends, variances, and business opportunities.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Manage internal control processes and coordinate with external auditors.
Strategic & Management Support
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support strategic planning, investment decisions, and long-term business objectives.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop finance and accounting team members.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and promote continuous improvement.
Cost & Efficiency Management
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and implement efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are an advantage.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in cash flow management and dealing with financial institutions is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
