Job Description: Strategic Planning Manager / Senior Strategic Planning Analyst

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Strategic Planning Manager/Senior Analyst is responsible for synthesizing complex information from senior executives and converting it into clear, concise
Executive Summary decks
for the CEO and top management. The role requires strong capabilities in
financial analysis, business performance assessment, strategic planning
, and cross-functional collaboration.

Knowledge in
Solar Cell business, Telecom/True Network operations, and large-scale project environments within the CP Group ecosystem
will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executive Summary & Management Reporting

Gather, interpret, and synthesize key information from C-level executives, BU Heads, and cross-functional teams.

Develop
CEO-level presentations, Board decks, and Executive Summary slides
with clear insights, trends, and recommendations.

Transform complex operational and financial data into concise, visually appealing strategic narratives.

Produce dashboards, KPI reviews, and performance highlight summaries for senior management.

2. Strategic & Business Planning

Support the development of strategic plans, annual operating plans (AOP), mid-year reviews, and long-term (3–5 years) business plans.

Conduct market, competitor, and internal analysis to identify strategic opportunities and risks.

Evaluate strategic initiatives through
ROI, NPV, payback period, breakeven, unit economics
, and scenario planning.

Provide actionable insights and strategic options to address performance gaps and improve business results.

3. Financial Analysis & Forecasting

Analyze financial performance: revenue, cost, margin, OPEX, CAPEX, and profitability trends.

Conduct
Budget vs. Actual
, variance analysis, financial forecasting, and business scenario simulations.

Collaborate closely with Finance teams to validate assumptions and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.

Assess commercial models, pricing strategies, and cost-to-serve to support decision-making.

4. Commercial, Telecom & Project Insight (Preferred Experience)

Candidates with knowledge or experience in the following areas will be prioritized:

Solar Cell business
(Solar rooftop, Solar farm, EPC, B2G/B2B solar projects)

Telecom infrastructure / True Network operations
(Fiber, FTTx, Track B, Data Center)

Large-scale project delivery within
CP Group ecosystem

(e.g., True, CP All, engineering projects, government/enterprise infrastructure projects)

Commercial contract analysis or product/solution financial modeling

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Act as a strategic partner across multiple BUs: Finance, Commercial, Operations, Network, PMO.

Coordinate management updates and align key messages across departments.

Translate technical/operational content into strategic-level insights for executives.

Engage with stakeholders to gather data, validate findings, and ensure consistent narratives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Strategy, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in
  Strategic Planning, Business Planning, PMO, Financial Analysis
  , or related functions.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Expertise in
  PowerPoint (executive-level storytelling)
  and
  Excel (advanced analytics and modeling)
  .
• Experience with Power BI/Tableau or data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge in
  Solar Cell, Telecom (True Network), or CP Group business environment
  is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, synthesis, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and deliver high-quality executive outputs.
