Head of Quality

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Quality to lead both Quality Assurance and Service Engineering teams at a high-volume manufacturing facility in Thailand. This site produces several million units annually for a global consumer and commercial technology portfolio. The successful candidate will possess strategic vision, cross-cultural communication skills, and a strong drive for execution to ensure quality excellence from development through post-launch support.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Lead all Quality Assurance functions, including Product Development Quality, Component Quality, and Manufacturing Quality.
- Define and uphold quality standards and systems aligned with global benchmarks and customer requirements.
- Guide advanced quality planning for new product introductions and apply structured problem-solving throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serve as a critical liaison between quality, engineering, and operations to proactively address and prevent quality issues.
Service Engineering
- Manage the Service Engineering team focused on post-launch field performance and issue resolution.
- Establish systems to gather customer feedback and field reliability data, leading root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Partner with R&D and product teams to drive continuous improvement through design and process enhancements.
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement quality strategies in alignment with organizational objectives and future business growth.
- Promote a proactive quality culture by building team ownership, enhancing visibility, and removing operational barriers.
- Lead cross-functional change initiatives with clarity, persistence, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure global competitiveness by adopting best-in-class quality practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; degrees from internationally recognized institutions are preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in leading quality teams within complex, high-volume production environments.
- Deep expertise in quality systems, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English and Thai required.
- Ability to command trust and influence at all levels, from frontline teams to senior executives.
