About the role:

Garmin Chonburi (Thailand) Ltd. is seeking a talented and dedicated Safety and Environments Manager to join our team. This full-time position will be based in Chon Buri and will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of our operations. As the Safety and Environments Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive safety and environmental management programs to protect our employees, the community, and the environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Manage the company's environmental compliance program, including monitoring and reporting on environmental performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety and environmental considerations into all aspects of our operations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes, and recommend improvements to our safety and environmental management systems
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and environmental topics
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to demonstrate compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety and environmental management role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector
  • Thorough understanding of relevant safety and environmental regulations, and experience in developing and implementing compliance programs
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels
  • Proficient in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with industry-specific safety and environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, is a plus
  • Proficiency in English will be an advantage (Speaking & Writing), Chinese is a plus
