Localization Specialist

MAJOR FUNCTION
This role is responsible for reviewing vendor-provided localized files, embedding/burning subtitles into video assets, editing and assembling video content, performing quality checks, and rendering final deliverables according to project specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the vendors
- Receive the projects from the client and assign projects to vendors
- Discuss and align the localization cost
- Process and follow the localization agreements with the vendors
- Follow the payment of the agreements
Localization & File Review
- Review localized subtitle files, scripts, and assets delivered by external vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal quality standards.
- Verify timing, formatting, and language quality of subtitle files before integration.
- Identify and report inconsistencies, errors, or issues to vendors or internal teams.
Video Editing, Subtitling
- Burn in (hardcode) subtitles onto video content using industry-standard editing tools.
- Sync subtitles accurately with audio and on-screen content.
- Make minor text or timing adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality output.
Rendering & Delivery
- Render localized versions of videos in required formats, resolutions, and codecs.
- Ensure final outputs meet technical specifications (bitrate, aspect ratio, audio levels, etc.).
- Manage organized file delivery, naming conventions, and version control.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough QC checks on subtitle files and rendered video outputs.
- Ensure linguistic, visual, and technical accuracy across all localized assets.
- Troubleshoot rendering, subtitling, or editing issues and escalate when necessary.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with external localization vendors and internal teams to track timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain documentation, project files, and progress reports.
- Support localization workflows across multiple languages and regions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to communicate in English.
- 3-5 years of experience in the field.
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Familiarity with subtitle formats (SRT, VTT, A SS, etc.) and subtitle editing tools.
- Strong understanding of video rendering settings and output formats.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform meticulous quality checks.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Prior experience in localization, media production, or post-production is highly preferred.
- Willing to work OT (will be paid)
- Accept the 1-year renewable contract condition.
