Electrical Design Engineer – Modular Data Center

Working hour: 8:00-17:00 Mon - Fri, 5 days working

(Occasionally working extra hours to ensure project deadlines are met on time.)

Role and Responsibilities:We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of various electrical systems, as well as preparing documentation and work summaries, supervising site activities, and ensuring smooth workflow. You will gain hands-on experience in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) works, system installation, and full project lifecycle management from concept to completion according to client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for Modular Container and Data Center Building projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards.
• Develop system layout concepts in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
• Prepare Bill of Quantity for project proposals and approval (both internal and external).
• Review and clarify project scope based on client requirements before proceeding with supplier quotations.
• Source and verify specifications for main electrical equipment prior to purchasing.
• Compare technical specifications, compliance documents, and standards against client requirements.
• Supervise electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and customer-approved systems.
• Coordinate QA inspections to ensure compliance with standards and approved designs.
• Troubleshoot issues, coordinate with teams, and ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare 2D layouts, SLD, and related drawings using AutoCAD for approval submission.
• Prepare inspection reports and documentation for installed electrical systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Power Electrical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical power system design, installation, or related engineering work.
• Knowledge in electrical system design, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
• Eagerness to learn, highly motivated, and committed to continuous professional development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent teamwork and effective communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed (if applicable).
• Excellent leadership and coordination skills with team members and stakeholders.
• Good command of spoken and written English is a MUST.
• Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Good organization
• Understanding of M&E systems and data center standards is an advantage.
