Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for large machinery, industrial equipment, and spare parts.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service agreements to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and long-term partnership.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate material supply.
  • Monitor market trends, new technologies, and alternative suppliers to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals and operational excellence.
  • Track and analyze purchasing performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2–3 years in a Purchasing Manager or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing large machinery, equipment, and industrial spare parts.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost-control capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, contracts, and vendor management principles.
  • Leadership experience with strong team management and people-development skills.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office; knowledge of SAP or Oracle is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
