- PTTEP Services Limited**Job Purpose**:
**Geologist, Operations** is responsible for geological operations from well planning, drilling to post-drill phase. He/She to closely communicate with various related teams i.e. geoscientist & drilling team to ensure achievement of well objectives as per well pro-posal. He/She communicates to & in charge of contractors related to geological operations. He/She is responsible for contractor’s reliability, work quality, performance & cost effectiveness. Operation geologist directly supervises wellsite geologist on day to day operations. Operations Geologist verify, QA/QC and dispatch geological information received from Wellsite Geologist to team. With his/her experiences he evaluates the information and makes recommendations & decision in timely manner. He/she consult with team to make dynamic adjustment and decision when requires. He is in-charge of all the related geological data acquisitions, QA/QC and wellsite operations activities.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Supervises the geological operation related activities from preparation of well programs for drilling activities and monitoring of operation during drilling, as per technical requirement and comply with SSHE guideline and standard.
- Assess and inform team of potential subsurface risks associated with drilling operations.
- Update technology, equipment and technique for mud logging, wireline/LWD logging tools and services. Make recommendation to team such as suitable tools to safely achieve objective and job requirement.
- Responsible for geological data acquisition program of the well such as during drilling activities. Liaison with the wellsite geologists of the requirements.
- QC Wellsite Geologist for data reliability and format of daily geological reports, mud logging report, formation evaluation report, lithological report, etc.
- Prepare well proposals and well planning documents in collaboration with asset and drilling teams.
- Evaluate the subsurface hazards likely to be encountered during drilling and logging operation.
- Prepare detailed logging data acquisition, coring plans, in collaboration with associated team such as asset team, drilling team and petrophysics team.
- Provide support to asset and drilling teams during all phases of drilling operations.
- Monitor and supervise acquisition of subsurface information during drilling of well especially HTHP wells. He/She must be able to QA/QC pressure data, analyse data and perform pressure prediction, recognise abnor-mality and make timely decision to avoid well control situation.
- Provides advice on geological related problems as appropriate.
- Ensure contractors maintain safety standard and practices throughout operations.
- Compile all well data acquired during drilling and logging phases, to facilitate fast evaluation of well and delivery of the final well reports.
- Point of communication and information for mud logging, coring, and LWD/wireline logging contractors.
- Working with team to provide up-to-date analysis of integrated geological data and ensuring distribution of accu-rate data to the office.
- Coordinating end of well reporting with wellsite geologists and contractors.
- Management of sample and core storage and distribution to laboratories.
- Conduct procurement process for related contract for subsurface data e.g. wireline logging, mud logging.
- Provide advice, QA/QC, and mentoring junior staff in all related operations geology works.

**Professional Knowledge & Experiences**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geology, Geophysics or related field.
- Familiar with Geosciences software and system.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external parties.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
