PepsiCo's product portfolio includes a wide range of enjoyable foods and beverages, including many iconic brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales.**
**Main Purpose of the role**
- The development and execution of strategies in the sourcing of the Manufacturing (MRO) Spend Categories that will result in cost and risk reduction and improved services/ value to PepsiCo Thailand
- Deliver 6% YOY P&L productivity from GP managed external services spend
- Significantly increase GP strategic sourcing coverage of category $4MM
- Establish strategies, policies and procedures for Manufacturing P2P governance
**Accountability**
- Partner with senior Operations stakeholders and Global Centre of Excellence to deliver 6% YOY cost improvements from the spend, improve operating free cash flow (inventory), flexibility and time to market.
- Significantly improve overall visibility of productivity pipeline and the way Procurement impacts overall budget set up, suppliers selection and commercial negotiations
- Develop a sourcing strategy aligned with business needs, build preferred supplier base, competitive rate cards, contracts and enable leverage of PepsiCo scale and knowledge
- Understand key cost drivers, industry trends and best practices (today and in the future) to shape the sourcing strategies. Develop and maintain long term pricing mechanisms and 3rd party relationship strategies to drive sustainable competitive advantage
- Manage executive level, cross functional priorities & relationships to deliver sustainable year on year efficiencies
- Lead supplier performance and contract compliance - providing regular financial, service and quality forecasts to Operations and relevant business leaders
- Work closely with Sector stakeholders, Technical Services, COEs and plants to ensure deep understanding of functional needs and ensure maximum business value is generated by GP
- Lead the execution of required governance and process changes to ensure compliance to relevant policies.
- Enable effective execution of Global strategies and commercial agreements through influencing and working closely with key leads in BUs / plants without direct reporting relations
- Enable effective wiring and alignment with COEs and Operations project teams ensuring global coordination and common objectives sharing
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to deliver best value to PepsiCo and resolve disputes where complex issues arise and cannot be resolved by business stakeholders.
- Management of Contract/Agreement process and compliance to policy using scorecard analysis including the development of tender documentation
- Develop benchmark standards and conduct gap analysis with “best” practices.
- Build internal cross functional relationships with Engineering, Quality, Finance and site Ops Teams across PepsiCo Thailand and broader APAC BU
Qualifications:
**Qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields
- Excellent Functional knowledge (5 years+ in category management /procurement roles): depth in category management, processes and tools in a complex environment, preferably within Food & Beverage industry
- Total working experiences 10 years+
- Sound knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and Make category related procurement best practices, with experience of implementing them in a global environment
- Sound knowledge of supply market fundamentals
- Preferred CIPSA qualification highly desirable
- Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations
- Excellent balance of analytical & negotiation skills
- Contract writing / risk analysis / liabilities and indemnities / SLA’s / and general commercial terms
- Sound understanding of SAP and P2P Governance and Controls
- Strong presentation skills for all levels of Management
- SAP process expertise with a strong control consciousness
- Proven ‘hands on’ technical expertise in the procurement of indirect goods and services, including MRO, Facilities, Chemicals, Cleaning and Sanitation, Electrical Services, Adhesives, Shrink Wrap, PPE, Lubricants and General Manufacturing Consumable Spend.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and networks to build category and industry knowledge
- Influencing and negotiation skills with sound business acumen.
