The SEED center is a learning center in Chiang Mai teaching language and practical skills to migrant workers as well as helping prepare students to take the GED exam. The teacher’s role is to support the vision and mission of Partners by working with the SEED manager and other teachers or related persons to provide quality GED and English lessons and form good relationships with the students.

**Essential Functions**
- Create and implement weekly lesson plans as well as goals and objectives for your classroom, creating a positive learning experience for all students.
- Teach GED classes in English and help prepare students to be able to complete and pass the GED exam according to set times and curriculum.
- Assist with placement testing at the beginning of each session.
- Identify varying teaching methods that work best for students who learn differently.
- Build relationships with students and staff by coordinating student activities every month.
- Monitor student attendance and progression in the classroom.
- Track working hours and submit to the supervisor by the end of each week.
- Compose monthly teaching reports and work activities to be sent to the project manager by the last week of each month, and regularly update supervisors on any academic issues.
- Attend monthly SEED meetings to discuss the project, lesson plans, and feedback from students.

**Other Functions**
- Assist with other projects, training, and tasks as needed and as assigned by the Project Manager.
- Help across other projects as needed.
- Engage with project managers in the strategic planning process to meet program objectives..
- Host visitors following Partner’s Visitor Processes.
- Give feedback and suggestions on ways of improving the project and curriculum.
- Attend staff meetings and organizational gatherings as requested.

**Position Requirements**
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and TESOL/TEFL Certificate required
- 2+ years previous related experience required
- Project management, public speaking, and teaching skills
- Leadership ability with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional writing, time management, multi-tasking skills
- Team player, flexible and patient; motivated, has initiative and can work independently
- Work within a Christian framework with sensitivity to various religious expressions and cultures.
- Work in an honest manner and also recognize the need for confidentiality at times.

**Salary**: From ฿15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- เชียงใหม่: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- English teaching: 1 year (preferred)
