Ready to join us? **About this opportunity** To support our growth and expansion plans in Thailand, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the fast paced, dynamic finance team. The hands-on role offers both variety and responsibility along with the opportunity to make a strong contribution to the Align team. This position will report to Thailand Finance Manager. **In this role, you will** **_ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, in the area of:_** **Accounting** - Support daily operating and month end closing process. - Responsible for monthly intercompany reconciliation and settlement. - Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliation and reporting. - Manage customer billing and collection activities including follow up with past-due accounts, referring collection issue to engagement partners. - Work closely with commercial team to get their support on collection for slow paying customers and get payment commitments from customers for overdue invoices. - Review and analyze past due receivables on a weekly basis. - Prepare Stock Report, Inventories and Fixed asset monitoring. - Co-ordinate between Thailand team and AP team and ensure vendor payments happen on a timely basis - Coordinate with Costa Rice shared service team to ensure AP and AR is properly maintained and closed - Assist with local statutory reporting and tax reporting, including VAT, CIT, withholding tax and business tax filing. - Assist with VAT reconciliation between SAP and local billing system. - Assist with internal and external audit requirements. - Work on various projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager. **Compliance** - Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements and US GAAP for group reporting - Ensure accounting policies and procedures comply with Legal and Corporate guidelines. - Assist to document, implement and maintain an effective and robust internal controls system in compliance to SOX requirements, and ensure adherence to approval processes **In this role, you’ll need ** **_ EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS - ** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. - At least 5 years relevant experience in Finance and Accounting. - Working experience in MNC. - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Able to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines - Self-motivated to learn new concepts. - Highly detailed, result oriented and organized in work. - Acts with integrity and objectivity and high standards of accountability. - Deadline-conscious with “can do” spirit to ensure timely reporting. - Have positive work attitude. Willing to work longer hours during peak periods. **Skills required** - Language: good in English (written and spoken). - Working knowledge of Finance ERP system (SAP). - Advanced Excel skills.
