Our client is an international logistics company. - Driving and ensuring a high degree of customs compliance in the country as per the company's standards, policies, and country customs regulations. - Developing customs compliance strategy for the country in line with Global customs compliance policy and implementation of compliance programs and policy elements aimed at process improvements, overall cost positions, clearance performance, and customer experience. - Deploying, implementing, and driving Global and Regional customs compliance framework including Global Customs Compliance Program, and regional programs in the country as per agreed schedule, standards, and timelines. - Monitoring parameters including Undervaluation, Intellectual Property Rights, True Shipper / Receiver, Goods Description, and other related Trends as required to ensure improvements and implement necessary measures including "Corrective and Preventive Actions" in consultation with stakeholders. - Conducting On-site and remote audits/reviews in facilities including the use of audit templates and other assessments covering key risk areas identified under the program Hawkeye and GSOP framework. - Monitoring regularly the changing regulatory requirements in-country as well as company business processes and shipment profiles to determine possibilities of customs compliance risks for the country. - Advising commercial and customers on customs and trade compliance matters, and major customer issues, understanding customer needs, and supporting in devising compliant solutions with COG and other Operation functions. - Monitoring changes in customs regulations, and customs enforcement trends to determine potential risks for the company. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree holder with equivalent relevant experience in managing customs operations and compliance. - Customs broker’s license holder or other extensive qualification majoring in Customs & External Trade law - 5-7 years relevant experience of working with Customs within the transportation, logistics, or import/export industry. - Extensive experience in customs audits including with in-depth understanding of the customs determinations during audits, cases, or disputes - Strong relationships with government and regulatory bodies and the capability to influence major decision-makers. - Influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Good command of English in both speaking and writing. - Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
