**Job Summary**:
The Graphic Designer is an important component of the school’s Marketing & Communications. As such, he or she is expected to be a supportive member of staff and to be willing to responsibilities for a variety of tasks including the understanding of use of the brand standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design internal and external promotional materials, publications and multimedia work according to established brand standards
Fill requests from various school departments
- Create materials for events and programmes
- Create school marketing materials such as Prospectus, Annual Report, brochures
- Contribute to the building of a strong, consistent school brand
- Create templates for various platforms and needs
- Approve and provide feedback for stakeholder-submitted designs
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the school’s internal and external communication, promotional activities and events
- Collaborate with external companies/providers to support projects
- Build relationships with creative external service providers
- Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and procedures to optimize departmental resources
- Grow design skills through continual industry reviews and professional development opportunities
- Conduct other duties as required by the Head of Department

**Additional Job Description in relation to Child Safeguarding**:

- Be familiar with the child safeguarding policy
- Be aware of abuse risks to children
- Abide by the Code of Conduct
- Be vigilant
- Prevent abuse/protect children
- Report concerns (mandatory duty)
- Challenge poor practice/promote good practice

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in a creative studio or minimum of 3 years experience working in a creative design studio
- Expertise in Adobe suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience in branding, logo creation, magazine/newspaper design and advertisement/poster design
- Advanced knowledge of the following software: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD/Figma, PowerPoint/Keynote/Slides
- Experience with the following would be beneficial: Premier/Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Da Vinci Resolve
- Knowledge/experience in traditional visual art would be advantageous
- High level of fluency in English (crucial)
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Creativity

- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- People-oriented / customer first mentality
- Flexibility and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of photography principles is desirable
