We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Project Manager for Bamboo Construction. This role involves learning and subsequently training Burmese staff in the construction of modern bamboo villas. The position is based on the tropical island of Koh Phangan, Thailand.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Train Burmese staff in bamboo construction methods.
- Oversee the construction of modern houses using bamboo.
- Use strong communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous learning and improvement in bamboo construction techniques.
**Requirements**:
- Professional experience in project management, construction is preferred.
- Strong willingness to learn about bamboo construction (mentoring and training will be provided).
- Ability to manage and lead teams of Burmese laborers
- Fluency in English; Thai or Burmese language skills are a plus.
- Open to both Thai nationals and foreigners (work permit will be provided).
**Core Required Qualities**:
- A sense of accountability, a strong work ethic, and a deep passion for sustainable construction.
- Ability to adapt and excel in a startup environment characterized by busy days and flat hierarchies.
**Working Conditions**:
- This position is local, based in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
- Salary range between 60,000 THB and 180,000 THB, depending on experience and output.
- Private health insurance included.
