Our client is a petroleum trading (passenger & manufacturer fleet lubricant) company.

**Description**:

- Analyzing and understanding variances, recognizing trends and/or anomalies, and predicting (forecast) annualized year-end of the business operations, expenses, and capital budgets.
- Communicating and presenting data findings and forecasts in a concise and understandable method to management and providing monthly forecasts, documenting any changes from prior months' forecasts.
- Completing month & quarter-end financial reporting - monthly report creation, analysis, and distribution within specified agreed timelines.
- Assisting finance in the month-end closing process and financial deck preparation.
- Performing other departmental administrative tasks as necessary.
- Assisting the revenue analysis, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Providing direction to other staff members.
- Managing other duties and responsibilities as determined by the company from time to time at its sole discretion.

**Work Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of finance budgeting analysis or general finance experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Intermediate experience with financial management systems (e.g. SAP) is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written and oral communications within a multi-level organization.
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team of both onshore and offshore resources.
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask various requests or projects, meet deadlines, and proactively communicate status updates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrating the ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Ability to identify potential process redundancies and inefficiencies and propose improvements.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, strong analytical, consulting, and facilitation skills.

As Budget Analyst - Provides financial planning and analysis support to the business. Manages business reporting by consolidating and analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. This position will also help facilitate the annual budgeting process for businesses & departments. This position will administer management reporting, including, monthly report creation, analysis & distribution. In addition to financial responsibilities, this position should be strong with Accrual principles, capital vs operating expense classification, and depreciation & amortization principles.
