**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Assists PCM and Deputy PCM in achieving country production target profitably
Responsible for adapting and implementing underwriting strategy and methodology to meet production target effectively and profitably
Handles all major and complex risks, and negotiates coverage, price and terms with
agents/brokers/clients
Reviews, amends and okays all policies amendments before being issued
Keeps PCM and Senior manager aware of all major underwriting issues
Performs regular underwriting audits and makes remedial recommendations
Supervises, trains and mentors junior underwriter(s)

**TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERTISE REQUIRED**:
University Degree
Must be confident, knowledgeable in underwriting and able
3 to 4 years of underwriting experience or in Insurance Industry.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent systems and PC skills
Fluent spoken and written English
