Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
**ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE**:

**_Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
**Education**:
A Bachelor’s degree or Masters (desirable) in a relevant field from an accredited academic institution.
Eight years of relevant professional experience including experience in leadership and managerial positions
**Experience**:
Experience working with or in Government or an International organization and/or with Bali Process Member States in the areas of border and migration management, refugee protection, people smuggling, trafficking in persons, transnational crime or a related field (desirable)
Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience
Demonstrated policy analysis and development experience including the facilitation and translation of policy into action
Experience in project management and/or contract management including following necessary implementation rules and regulations
Demonstrated experience in achieving outcomes in a cross-cultural environment
Demonstrated experienced in engaging appropriately with stakeholders across a range of fields (Government, IO, NGO, Private Sector), including with senior level stakeholders
Demonstrated experience leading a team
Experience developing, supervising and mentoring staff

Strong ability to effectively communicate with influence in oral and written English.
**Language**:
Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
Any additional languages spoken by Bali Process Member States considered an asset.
Travel required
Should the Consultant be required to travel by the Organization, the Consultant will be provided with transportation or reimbursed for the cost of their travel following advance agreement and in accordance with IOM’s travel policies, including IN/6. The Consultant will receive a Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) according to IOM’s established rates, during their stay in the place of duty while on TDY.
