Humanitarian Crisis Response Coordinator for Asia Pacific

The United Nations Population Fund is seeking a skilled Humanitarian Crisis Response Coordinator to lead Phase III of the Regional Prepositioning Initiative in the Asia Pacific region. This role will focus on strengthening humanitarian preparedness and response initiatives, ensuring women, girls, and marginalized groups have access to quality Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) information and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement annual workplans for Phase III of the Regional Prepositioning Initiative, providing technical and programmatic oversight to 11 UNFPA Country Offices in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Monitor programmatic aspects of the Regional Prepositioning Initiative, collaborating with the Regional Supply Chain Team on procurement plans, prepositioning supplies, and customization for vulnerable groups.
  • Undertake budget monitoring and revisions to ensure full implementation of approved annual workplans.
  • Support country offices in strengthening advocacy for SRH and GBV in emergencies, particularly related to disability inclusion, accountability to affected populations, and leaving no one behind.
Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced University degree in public health, sociology, economics, international development, public administration, management, or a related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in development and/or humanitarian programme/project management and coordination.
  • Well-developed organizational and coordination skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
About the Role:

This position offers an attractive remuneration package including a competitive net salary of around $80,000-$100,000 per year, plus health insurance and other benefits as applicable.
