International Finance Professional for Asia Pacific Region

We are seeking an experienced Associate Finance Officer for the Asia Pacific Region. This role will be based in Bangkok, with responsibilities covering Thailand and Myanmar offices.
About the Role- This position requires a strong analytical background, preferably in finance or accounting.
- The Associate Finance Officer will provide analytical support to CAP Management and report to the Senior Finance Officer.
- Responsibilities include day-to-day CBAAP operations in Bangkok and Yangon, supervising CBAAP staff in Bangkok, and ensuring WBG/IFC accounting and administrative policies are followed.
- The successful candidate will prepare ad-hoc analysis, work closely with Country Managers/Directors to ensure a strong control environment, and implement audit recommendations.
- Country Management and Operational Support (Thailand and Myanmar)
- Supervise CBAAP staff in Bangkok and provide guidance on finance processes
- Support Country Manager(s) on country office budget formulation exercises
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis as requested or proactively deemed useful to clients
- Work closely with Country Managers/Directors to ensure a strong control environment
- Responsible for Departmental total resources and budget management across all sources of funds
- Guide management in making resource allocation decisions and lead forecasts process
- Implement and maintain adequate financial control systems over financial transactions and business operations
- Within the SAP framework, take initiative to improve process and approaches
- Collaborate with CBAAP Finance Team to follow consistent corporate level best practices and guidelines
- Prepare monthly total resources and budget reports for Country Managers and Directors
- Prepare monthly forecast as needed, integrate all sources of funds, and update systems in BPC
- Lead and manage the Finance Assistant in Bangkok and ensure CBA support in the most effective and efficient manner
- Keep abreast of changes in corporate policies and strategic priorities and translate into practical and technical guidance to the team
- A Master's degree in business administration (MBA), finance, accounting, or relevant fields with 4-8 years of experience
- Sound knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, concepts, and principles, combined with proven practical skills in financial accounting reporting, business planning, work programming, budgeting, financial management, audit
- Excellent professional judgment and people management skills
- Strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Our estimated salary range for this position is approximately $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
