**Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver a stimulating and progressive physical education curriculum tailored to students' ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
- Teach students various sports, games, and physical activities, emphasizing fundamental movement skills, technique, strategy, and fair play.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect for others.
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging PE lessons that incorporate a variety of teaching methods, resources, and assessment strategies.
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with different learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds.
- Promote health and wellness by educating students about the benefits of physical activity, proper nutrition, and personal fitness goals.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and events to provide opportunities for students to showcase their skills and compete.
- Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their physical development and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and relevant stakeholders to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in physical education, integrating new ideas and methodologies into teaching practices.
- Ensure the safety of students during PE classes, following established protocols and guidelines for equipment usage, first aid, and emergency procedures.
- Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, professional development activities, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in school committees, extracurricular activities, and supporting the school's mission and values.

**OTHER**:

- To comply with, adhere to, and actively support school policies and procedures.
- To carry out any other duties that are commensurate with the role and as instructed by PBISS management.
- To adhere to the PBISS’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and to perform any school wide designated duties with regard to Health and Safety and the security of the school.
- Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organisation. This job description serves as a guide to the general duties of the role and may be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field. A teaching certification or qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Physical Education Teacher, preferably in an international or multicultural educational setting.
- Deep knowledge of various sports, physical fitness concepts, and wellness practices.
- Ability to create and implement age-appropriate and engaging lesson plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information and provide feedback effectively.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to plan lessons, assess students, and manage extracurricular activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and the ability to integrate new teaching methodologies and technologies into practice.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain these certifications.
- Proficiency in English. Additional language skills are an advantage.
