**Job Title**:Fleet Troubleshooter

**Purpose of the Job**

The Troubleshooter will provide technical support in the maintenance activity during the duration of the contract. This includes the development of the troubleshooting guide, training technicians, supporting various testing activities and other activities as required and within the technical capability. The troubleshooter will lead and support troubleshooting activity when necessary in order to support the team to achieve the train number required for revenue service and resolve any failures. **Performance Measurement**

On time recovery of train with failures for revenue service

Improvement of Fault Finding document/process based on lesson learned

Support the Execution of Static and Dynamic Tests, closure of open items and other RST related T&C activity

Knowledge transfer to PI/maintenance team

Zero Accidents

**Responsibilities**
- Lead troubleshooting activities when required
- Update or develop troubleshooting guides
- Provide field support as required for activities such as testing and commissioning and internal tests.
- Leading the Safety culture required to ensure Zero LTA’s
- Understand the technical issues for each fleet and sub-systems within the platforms under Alstom scope and manage their resolution, in accordance with agreed timescales and budget. Ensure the timely and effective resolution of safety issues.
- Review component failure data to identify trends, take ownership of specific components failure modes and proposing mitigating actions / solutions. Participate and lead if required FRACAS.
- Provide Field Maintenance Engineering and direction for the engineering activities in support of the delivery of cost effective maintenance plans and reliability growth.
- Review, develop and maintain all the technical/engineering documentation required for the services scope. Ensure traceability and records are available in Maximo.
- Participate into the maintenance strategy development and Overhauls planning and documentation including the revision and optimisation of the maintenance plan.
- Provide the creative inputs to develop innovative and effective maintenance solutions to support the maintenance execution team.
- Ensure that best practices are delivered for the maintenance contract ensuring engineering leadership is provided across platforms and the centralised project support adds value.
- Lead/Support the investigations of major defects.
- Testing & Commissioning of Rolling Stock routine tests, trouble shooting, rectification and closing of open items.

Submit test reports, investigation reports as required.

**Experience**
- Technical Knowledge of the Rolling Stock including and/or On board Signalling, Innovia fleet, CITYFLO 650 or similar platform would be of advantage.
- 3 to 7 years Experience in Rolling Stock maintenance and/or testing and commissioning
- Technical knowledge in track switches, monorail track Switches and DWE maintenance and /or Testing and Commissioning would be an advantage

Good knowledge of electrical or mechanical. Such as read circuit diagram, schematic, etc

**Educational Requirements**

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or related fields.
