The Role:
You will be capturing the vision from internal Product Directors, Product Managers and Product Owners. You’ll be working as an integral part of one or more of our globally located scrum teams, creating, refining and managing the product backlog. You will be expected to handle queries from the scrum team in daily stand ups and refinement sessions, responding promptly and openly to any challenges to ensure the highest quality end product and maintain momentum in development sprints. You’ll constantly evolve and tweak your approach to promote healthy and open conversation around new feature development whilst doing your bit to ensure we make good decisions in product design.

The Teams:
We have multiple scrum teams consisting of mixes of internal staff and supplier consultants and typically including business analysts, user experience professionals, server and user interface developers, and quality assurance engineers. We strongly follow agile principles of continuous improvement. Teams are based in eastern Europe and Asia across varying time zones.

Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Programme and Product managers, communicate progress and articulate any issues
- Be the main point of contact with Product Owners in order to elicit, analyse, and validate complex business requirements for the software we’re building
- Document and translate these business requirements into a detailed user story backlog in JIRA for our UX and development teams with supporting content in confluence whilst adhering to LSEG standards
- Control change from Product Owners that could affect the business case or impact delivery
- Be accountable for a quality backlog of user stories, through activities such as backlog refinement
- Collaborate closely with scrum teams to ensure scrum velocity is maintained and blockers removed
- Provide input to the prioritisation of the backlog to make sure the development teams are working on the right things in the right order
- Be accountable for the quality of your work, ensuring it’s delivered within agreed procedures and timeframesSkills & Experience:
Must
- Experience in Scrum / Agile methodology, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria utilising INVEST criteria
- Extensive Business Analysis experience
- Ability to capture business requirements and represent them effectively
- Excellent communication skills including ability to influence and negotiate
- Solid presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent problem solving, analysis, research and process mapping skills
- Excellent written communication skills - both technical and non-technical
- Be accountable for maintaining a quality backlog of user stories, through activities such as backlog refinement
- Customer focused and dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of both your internal and external customers

Desirable
- Ability to mentor junior staff and new joiners across Business Analysis and wider teams
- Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability handle multiple complex tasks
- Understands the principles of usability and helps ensure the software is fit for purpose
- An understanding of the KYC / AML environment would be highly beneficial
