**Main Purpose of the Role**:
Highly motivated lead product engineer to join the Kimberly-Clark Professional Research and Engineering function, focused on professional tissued-based product support and development. Specifically, this person will be responsible for product improvements for the tissue, towel and wipe categories, ensuring the products meet brand standards, maintain high quality and deliver on cost targets. The position is located in the Asia-Pacific region and reports to regional RD leader.

The role is critical to maintaining our global brand standards and to fuel continued growth in the bath and facial tissue categories. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all tissue, towel and wipe products meet product cost, performance and technical requirements, comply with local regulatory rules, and deliver on the targeted customer need. This person will work closely with the regional business team to ensure alignment on planned product changes and launches. This position requires an individual who can work flexibly to meet the needs of teams across the region.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Work with business partners to prioritize solutions and identify preferred technical solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to define project timelines and commercialization pathways
- Lead cross-functional work team to deliver product solutions
- Develop and deliver robust timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts

The incumbent must be able to:

- Work effectively with technology development, commercialization and life cycle maximization teams for planning and hand-offs
- Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction
- Communicate and document project plans and results to key stakeholders

**Basic qualifications**
- A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.Examples include Chemical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Materials Science, Pulp & Paper Science, and Chemistry
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in light dry crepe or other tissue-focused process or product development roles
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes
- A track record of strong project leadership capabilities
- Ability to drive projects forward quickly and effectively utilizing strong collaboration, project management and communication skills
- Fluent in English

**Preferred qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience in the product development and commercialization process, including development and testing of concepts and prototypes to meet prioritized end user needs
- Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing on a global basis
- Highly creative, excellent brainstorming and problem solving skills
- Experience in relevant B2C or B2B product categories
- Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing teams
- Understanding of Kimberly-Clark products, procedures, and processes
- Fluent in English.
