**Job Purpose**:Database Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cigna Thailand Information Technology infrastructure including manage structures and standards for use and maintenance of the database management system. Database Administrator will work with employees at all levels of an organization and collaborates with the relevant team member in ensuring efficient access of Database as well as regularly monitors performance of the database management system and restructure as necessary.- Database Administrator provides performance tuning of database systems for query and data loading performance, including data partitioning, indexing, database back-up and recovery processes. Database Administrator gathers and analyzes requirements for database systems, data modeling, performance, scalability requirements, and data security. Database Administrator will perform database maintenance and security following standard procedures including adding and removing users, and administering quotas. Database Administrator will also ensure availability and reliability for database access and connectivity support. Database Administrator will review document and activity under ITSM process (change request, production change request, and production access request)**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system.
- Designs and reviews database systems; evaluates and recommends changes to database systems; and implements new or revised systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to technical standards.
- Performs daily maintenance, tracking and documentation of production database systems including creating and scheduling database specific jobs and determining necessary actions to recover from problems or failures.
- Develops and enforces Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines to establish the operational framework in which database management systems are consistently and effectively utilized.
- Diagnose problems and incompatibilities that may occur with integrated software products and with hardware dependencies.
- Perform performance analysis and tuning, and evaluate software products.
- Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
- Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- 3 - 5 years relevant networking professional experience in support of enterprise database.
- In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience.
- Experience of managing multiple MS SQL 2016 & 2019 RDBMS, MS SQL/Server on large systems and non-SQL
- Must be able to demonstrate skills in database performance configuration, troubleshooting, and resiliency (High Availability, Replication, and Clustering).
- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
- Experience of Transactional SQL, and DTS stored procedures.
- Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security
- Experience working in a team-oriented helpdesk or customer service environment as an advanced or escalation position.
- Basic understanding of data storage concepts and terminology.
- Excellent analytical and expert troubleshooting skills with end-users/customers, partners, and OEMs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
