Government Relations Manager

As a Government Relations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to influence government policies and regulations that impact AirAsia. You will work closely with government agencies, legislators, and other stakeholders to promote our organization's interests, foster positive relationships, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Policy Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and stay updated on government policies, legislation, and regulations that affect our industry. Assess potential impacts on the organization and provide recommendations.
- 2Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulators, and relevant agencies. Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and other forums.
- Collaborate with Tourism Authority of Thailand and Tourism Stakeholders for joining commercial campaigns by seeking both of funding supports and policy supports
- Advocacy: Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence government decisions in favor of the organization's objectives. This may include drafting position papers, testimony, and other advocacy materials.
- Legislative Monitoring: Track legislative activities at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Provide regular reports to the organization's leadership on key developments and potential risks or opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all relavant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any compliance issues.
- Public Affairs: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create public relations strategies that align with government relations efforts and maintain a positive public image.
- Issue Management: Proactively address emerging issues and crises that may have implications for the organization's relationship with government bodies.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public administration, law, or a related field
- Proven minimum 5 years experience in government relations, public affairs, lobbying, or a related role
- In-depth knowledge of government policies, legislation, and regulatory processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities
- Excellent writing and communications skills in both Thai and English
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Experience in managing teams and budgets
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to compliance
