The role of a Maintenance Manager in the paper industry involves overseeing and managing the maintenance activities and operations within a paper manufacturing facility. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that all machinery, equipment, and systems are correctly maintained and functioning efficiently to support continuous production.

**Responsibilities**
- ** Equipment Maintenance**: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance programs to ensure the optimal functioning of all machinery and equipment used in the paper manufacturing process. This includes establishing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting regular inspections, and coordinating repairs and replacements.
- **Team Management**: They supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. They assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure that the team has the necessary resources and tools to carry out maintenance activities effectively.
- **Budgeting and Cost Control**: The Maintenance Manager participates in budget planning and manages the maintenance department's expenditures. They work to optimize costs by implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies, monitoring expenses, and controlling inventory levels of spare parts and supplies.
- **Safety and Compliance**:Ensuring a safe working environment is a key responsibility. The Maintenance Manager establishes and enforces safety protocols, promotes a culture of safety awareness, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards. They may also conduct regular safety inspections and coordinate safety training for maintenance staff.
- **Continuous Improvement**: The Maintenance Manager is vital in identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the maintenance department. They analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and implement strategies to minimize downtime, reduce maintenance costs, and improve overall equipment reliability.
- **Collaboration**: They collaborate with other departments, such as operations, engineering, and procurement, to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities. They participate in cross-functional meetings, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the overall strategic goals of the organization.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs, is essential. The Maintenance Manager prepares reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and downtime analysis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Must have at least 5 years of maintenance manager.
- Engineering education / Prefer electrical but open to mechanical and mechatronics.
- Ability to lead preventive maintenance projects.
- Good experience and background maintenance in chemical, paper, or packaging production.
- Good command of English (Report to regional).
- Able to relocate to upcountry.
