PRTR is supporting a well-known global chemicals manufacturing company. Our client is engaged in the manufacture of Sodium and Potassium Phosphates. They are looking for a Head of R&D who could establish the “New Products Development -ROAD MAP” with the ability to manage the R&D team. They are open to any nationality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceiving, experimenting, and developing new specialty products, and blends to meet customers' expectations and market demand.
- Establishing the “New Products Development -ROAD MAP” and providing direction to the R&D team to focus on the targeted segments for development of the new products.
- Monitoring and reviewing the R&D- activities for the development of new products and its performance on daily a basis.
- Providing alliances with Universities or reputed institutes /ABSTL for new product development activities.
- Sourcing the consultants for training the R&D-team.
- Coordinating with the production department to establish the production process / parameters for producing the new products.
- Motivating the team for the development of new products.
- Bringing the cost awareness to R&D team.
- Providing technical support to marketing department for launching of new products.
- Coordinating with marketing head for providing customer services on quality aspects.
- Meeting the customer to understand their requirements as well as their process to develop NPD.
- Attending customer requirements/complaints on quality matters.
- Conducting the Technical symposium for customers.
- Establishing the adequate R&D-team and facility (pilot plant and testing facility) to develop the targeted segments products.
- Coordinating with HR and Universities to recruit an appropriate qualified staffs for R&D work.
- Ensuring the implementation of Safety, WCM procedures and systems ISO, GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.
- Facilitating and directing the WCM activities in the Department.
- Monitoring the implementation of WCM and safety practices.
- Reviewing the audit reports and plan for improvement.

**Qualification**:

- Master or Ph.D. from Food Science or Food Technology.
- Experience of over 15 years as R&D, Researcher from Specialty Chemicals or Food Ingredients industries.
- Background working from Manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of specialty chemicals and food ingredients process.
- Good English communication skill (Thai language is preferable for expat).
- Initiative, Interpersonal, Technical, and High sense of ethics with integrity.
