**About the role**
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong focus on full spectrum of accounts and taxes to join our dynamic team. As an Accountant, you will be working with the business development team and play a crucial role in reporting and taxation to achieve timely and accurate reporting for Igloo Thailand.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager based in Singapore, this role will be taking care of the full spectrum of accounts, reporting, taxes and audit for our two Thailand entities, with business in insurance brokerage and insurtech. The scope includes but is not limited to the following:
- Take over the accounts of the two entities and ensure smooth transition
- Monitor full set of accounting functions (AR, AP, GL), ensure timely billing, collections and payments
- Ensure balance sheet schedules are maintained and reconciled on a monthly basis
- Monitor monthly closing process, ensure timely and accurate month-end closing
- Manage cash flow/ working capital effectively, maintain regular cash flow reports
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Thailands Office of Insurance Commission (OIC)
- Work closely with the commercial and ops teams to establish processes, transaction flows and accounting treatments
- Ensure timely tax reporting and payment, monitor tax planning to achieve tax efficiency
- Reconcile interco transactions and maintain interco schedules
- Owner of annual statutory audit, prepare financial statements and schedules, ensure audit is effectively carried out and completed on time
- Take care of corporate secretarial matters and other bank matters
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Improve internal control and process improvement
- Manage the company assets and inventories, incl. procurement administration and/or vendor management tasks
- Assist in financial and tax due diligence for fundraising activities
- Take care of ad hoc projects or tasks as required
**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in similar capacity, with proven full spectrum of accounting and tax experiences preferably from insurance brokerage/insurance/fintech
- Prior experience working in a high-growth environment, ideally with a mix of experience in MNCs and start ups
- A self-starter with strong sense of responsibility
- Hands-on, excellent attention to details with a control centric mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, good in written and oral English
