Regional Education Manager

The primary goal of this position is to assist members to become economically and temporally self-reliant, thus furthering the mission of the Church. Has responsibility for coordination with all education, vocation and training affiliated organizations within the Area. The position reports to the Area Welfare and Self-Reliance Manager.
- Lead Church education efforts including Perpetual Education Fund, EnglishConnect, Benson Scholarship, and Area specific programs and BYU-Pathway, including administration of billing, payments, collections and audits, etc.
- Manage missionaries, volunteers and others to keep all programs, projects and initiatives in scope, on schedule, and within budget.
- Partners with BYU-Pathway, Seminaries and Institutes, and any other internal or external resources to support the needs of the Church.
- Works directly with priesthood leaders and volunteers to assure repayment to the Church.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related discipline is required. At least four years of proven administration/management experience or equivalent mix of education and experience is required.
- Strong management and organizational skills to work well with governmental, religious and other organizations, organize workload, supervise operations, and be accountable for the results of all contacting activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to train volunteers on-site and in remote areas, individually or in groups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work closely with leaders and participants to help them resolve challenges and achieve success.
- Must be able to learn systems and processes quickly and be able to deal with changes.
- Must understand Welfare principles, and the basics of Church Employment and leadership.
- Fluent in written and oral English.
