**Job summary**:
As part of the Global Sourcing team within the Climate Projects business line, the Senior Sourcing Manager, Sustainable Technologies - Southeast Asia (SEA), will oversee and manage the Sustainable Technologies portfolio. This role will also be responsible for line management of Sustainable Technologies staff across SEA. This position will report to the Global Director for Sustainable Technologies Project Sourcing.

The Senior Sourcing Manager, Sustainable Technologies will focus on sustainable technology emission reduction project's leads and opportunities in the Southeast Asian region. You will support business development and project sourcing related activities within the designated region - primarily related to renewable energy, energy efficiency and household projects, along with methane capture and avoidance projects. Other emission reduction projects might include the industrial and the transport sector. In this exciting role, you will work closely with other teams within the Climate Projects business line, especially the investment and project implementation teams, allowing you a global perspective on climate finance and sustainability. In addition, you will be dealing directly with project owners and sustainability-related actors to help collaborate and source emission reduction projects for South Pole’s global portfolio.

**Main tasks & responsibilities**:

- Oversee the sourcing of new emission reduction projects related to sustainable technologies eligible for carbon finance
- Attain or surpass the global Sustainable Technology project sourcing goals for the Region, as defined by the Global Director for Sustainable Technologies Project Sourcing
- Proactively network with relevant organisations; including potential project partners
- Attend relevant gatherings and conferences and expand the existing network of sustainable technologies stakeholders
- Map and plan resources efficiently and adequately to optimise sourcing activities
- Hire, manage and support a team to support Sustainable Technologies Sourcing in the Region
- Ensure that sourcing flows and processes (including documentation and interaction with other teams) align with the company guidelines
- Manage and maintain our internal CRM system for project sourcing, ensuring that project leads and opportunities are well recorded and updated
- Support coordination and collaboration with other teams within South Pole globally, in regards to project leads and opportunities
- Source new project leads and opportunities for the Southeast Asia region aligned to Sourcing strategies and mandates
- Draft contracts and commercial proposals
- Conduct research relevant to new project leads, project developers, project partners, and relevant regulatory regimes/policies in Southeast Asia
- Collect data from Project partners or other third parties for due diligence, financing plans and budgets, technical, financial, and legal documentation

**Requirements**:
Essential
- University degree in Renewable Energy Systems, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Economics, Environmental Sustainability, or similar
- Min. 7 years of relevant commercial experience, preferably in a business development or an origination role in carbon markets and other environmental assets
- Strong people and team management skills
- Strong experience and network in more than one country in Southeast Asia region
- Strong track record in generating new business opportunities and closing deals
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members
- Good commercial terms understanding and ideally experience with commercial negotiations
- Knowledge of legal and contract management aspects
- Existing networks in sustainable technology fields such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, methane, and/or household devices
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, willingness to take initiative
- Native or fluent in a relevant local language, and professional proficiency in English is a must
