Operar y controlar la maquinaria para el lavado, la limpieza en seco y el secado de la ropa, incluido agregar químicos y limpiar los filtros de pelusa. Identificar los artículos manchados o dañados y determinar su estado a fin de tratar la mancha, volverlos a lavar o descartarlos. Inspeccionar la limpieza de los artículos retirados de los lavarropas, las secadoras o las máquinas de limpieza en seco y ubicarlos en los carritos de ropa blanca limpia. Programar el tiempo y la temperatura de las secadoras de acuerdo a los tipos de tela incluidos en la carga. Retirar la pelusa y los desechos de los filtros de la secadora y de la máquina de limpieza en seco y escurrirlos luego de cada carga. Doblar los artículos limpios del tamaño designado, ya sea manualmente o mediante el uso de una máquina plegadora. Llevar registros exactos de los artículos lavados y planchados.

Cumplir con todas las políticas y procedimientos de seguridad de la compañía; informar cualquier problema de mantenimiento, peligros para la seguridad, accidentes o lesiones; completar la capacitación y certificaciones sobre seguridad. Asegurarse de que tanto el uniforme como la apariencia personal sean pulcros y profesionales. Mantener la privacidad de la información propiedad de la compañía; proteger sus bienes. Apoyar a todos los compañeros de trabajo y tratarlos con dignidad y respeto. Dar apoyo al equipo para alcanzar metas comunes. Cumplir las expectativas y los estándares de aseguramiento de la calidad. Mover, levantar, transportar, empujar, arrastrar y colocar objetos con un peso inferior a 25 libras (11,25 Kg) o su equivalente sin asistencia. Estar de pie, sentarse o caminar durante períodos prolongados o durante el turno de trabajo completo. Inspeccionar visualmente herramientas, equipos o máquinas (por ejemplo, para identificar defectos). Alcanzar por encima de la cabeza y debajo de la rodillas, incluso agacharse, girar la cintura, arrastrar e inclinarse. Moverse por espacios angostos, confinados o elevados. Moverse por superficies inclinadas, desníveladas o resbalosas y escalinatas. Subir y bajar escalinatas y/o rampas de servicio. Efectuar otras tareas de trabajo razonables solicitadas por sus supervisores.
