Summary

Main Duties:
Administration
- To assist in the preparation of all required reports for the overall revenue management function of the hotel
- To attend relevant departmental communications meetings.
- To assist in the implementation of the hotel’s Sales Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, and all other revenue departments.

Revenue Management
- To lead the revenue management function at the hotel, and ensure that proper reporting, and analysis is conducted, and relevant decisions are applied by the revenue management personnel at the hotel.
- To ensure that dynamic pricing is deployed for competitive advantage and based on the forecasted demand patterns
- To manage room’s inventory using the Central Reservation system and to ensure processes are in place to effectively manage overbooking, and room type management.
- To assist in preparing relevant data and reporting for the Yield / Revenue Meeting.
- To suggest, anticipate and recommend sales strategy facing some low period or unexpected slow pick up or activities.
- To infer and deploy relevant strategies through proper data analysis and reporting which helps the hotel’s
- To assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in maximising revenue and yield through business trend analysis and ensuring delivery and maintenance of optimum data mining, revenue management, pricing and distribution tactics on an on-going basis.
- To assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in addressing critical issues for the hotel and evaluating past strategies, and assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in laying down future strategies for the hotel
- To assist in conducting relevant displacement analysis to optimize hotel’s market mix and rooms revenues
- To monitor and provide feedback on the hotel’s effective use of Hyatt systems, tools and procedures in areas of business intelligence, revenue management, inventory management and dynamic pricing to maximise Hyatt’s competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- To assist in all areas to ensure data cleanliness and data integrity.
- To assist in conducting training with Front Office associates to ensure correct procedures are in place at check in and check out to ensure the availability and validity of data for analysis.
- To ensure the accuracy and validity of the data presented in the Cognos cubes.
- To assist in providing the hotel team with external market intelligence using tools such as TravelCLICK’s Hotelligence 360, Omniture and Internet web sites and other corporate resources.
- To assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in making use of all internal and external tools available to the hotel and the usage of standard analytical reporting to ensure the adopted tactics and strategies are measurable (i.e. promotion tracking).

**Qualifications**:
Financial
- To analyse the current revenue generation trends of the hotel in order to identify critical areas for Revenue Enhancement.
- To assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in developing integrated solutions that enables the hotel to leverage increased profitability via Business Intelligence and Revenue Management practices
- To actively participate in the formulation and submission of the Annual Business Plan.
- To assist in improving efficiency in cost control.
- To assist Director of sales and Marketing in preparation of Annual Sales Plan, monthly and weekly re-forecasting.
- To assist in managing costs based on key performance indicators.
- To assist in ensuring that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information
